These are quality domain names. They are not abbreviations, from another country (ie .cc, etc.), or non-commerce (ie .org or .net, etc.). Previously we utilized these names quite extensively to generate traffic for our regional High Performance Door Division. The additional potential nationally or even internationally is tremendous.
Typically these are very targeted site visits (i.e. need replacement freezer door, need new traffic doors, etc.), not general interest. The chance that the hit is for your specific product at a general "covers all" domain is slim at best and you would be one of many similar advertisers sharing the exposure at the same site. You would own these specific traffic generating domains (and their page views) exclusively.
